14 days: 01

The lady mentioned that it takes 14 days to break a habit, more or less (depending on the person).  This is something that I already knew, but hearing it said re-sparked a desire in me to quit smoking.  I've given myself 14 days to go without smoking.  I know that I can make it 5 days, maybe even a full week.  I don't know that I've ever gone two weeks without a cigarette.  Here's hoping I can do it.

This blog marks the first 24 hours without a cigarette(the 24 hour mark was probably around 12:30 a.m.).  I felt grumpy throughout the day, buy remained in high spirits.  I think one of the keys will be to understand that I may think like an asshole during this time, but that doesn't mean I have to be an asshole.

The hurdle of not smoking while drinking will be a high one.  Someone once put it to me as "Drinking and not smoking is like pooping and not peeing."

Two 40s of Mickeys into the night (morning), and all I want is a smoke.

Try not drinking until you're through with the cigarettes.
