I want to punch my wife's boss (in the face)

So this asshole sold his company over the summer to some canadians. Ever since, he's been a huge asshole to my wife. HUGE asshole. Her role with the company has changed since the acquisition. She used to be the Office Manager and his personal assistant. Now she's the Project Coordinator. And that title also came with a host of new responsibilities. He still treats her like the Office Manager and his assistant. First of all, they already have another office manager. Second of all, she doesn't have time to wipe his ass anymore... so he just needs to deal with it.

But instead of dealing with it, he's become a huge passive agressive asshole. A week before our wedding, he decided that he wasn't coming because we didn't invite his kids. Then two days before, he changed his story and said that he wasn't coming because she had "an attitude problem."

?

He's also the type of asshole that won't back down from something or admit he's wrong even when he clearly is. So this "attitude problem" my wife had developed shortly before the wedding has now evolved into something he apparently thinks she's had ever since she started working there... even though he's given her generous raises and bonuses and has generally commended her performance up until a few weeks ago.

Today he wrote her up for having a bad attitude. He said that he wanted to do it before the wedding but decided to wait to see if it improved when she got back. Honestly, it sounds like he might be building a case... but then again, it would be completely unjustified. The canadians love her. The clients love her. Everybody else who works with her loves her. The only person who has a problem with her is this asshole, and if she has a bad attitude with anybody, it's probably only him and only because he antagonizes her. If he stopped acting like a fucking baby for once and treating her like his servant, he might realize what an asset to the company she is. The canadian bosses already know what an asset she is... but then again she's not the one who's got a two year contract.

I hope those poor bastards know what kind of company they just bought. They should have never given that guy so much power. He's openly expressed that he's not happy with some of the changes they've instituted and I feel like he's taking it out on my wife.
