I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 and I hate it. I'm never buying a Dell again. What do you have, or what do you recommend? I just want something reliable. I barely used the 9300 for all of its potential. I pretty much just used it for itunes, internet, and adobe photoshop.

I have a Dell Latitude D610. I don't hate it, but I wish I had bought something better.

I've been really considering joining the Cult of Mac.

I expected you to be the next reply, but I also expected a light-hearted ribbing for me considering mac (given our past exchanges about Apple).

I have a HP and its pretty sweet except the fact it has Vista and nothing works on it. I can not get iTunes to work for the life of me.

My MacBook is a little heavy, particularly noticeable when it's in a bag.

I don't mind the two finger scroll, although I have an easier time triggering it by accident than on purpose. It took me a while to get used to the keyboard commands more than anything else.

I don't know what the shelf life of a good laptop is, but this one is breaking down after 4-5 years.

I tend to replace mine every 2 years.

I sometimes find myself having trouble switching from PC at work to Mac at home with the keyboard, so I just started bringing my mac to work with me.

i have an asus eee pc to carry round with me. which is really useful for internet, pictures, charging stuff, music, files and stuff. but its only got a 4/8gb memory without a memory card/external hard drive.
but you can get them with more memory i think, but not a substantial amount. its good for an extra laptop, give how small it is.
